Giorgia Quadrato, Ph.D.
Dr. Quadrato's research focuses on understanding the cellular and molecular basis of human brain development and disease. By combining emerging models of the human brain with single-cell omics approaches, she aims to identify cell-type-specific disease mechanisms and, most importantly, new treatments for human neurodevelopmental disorders. Dr. Quadrato has received several awards, including the 2019 Donald E. and Delia B. Baxter Foundation Faculty Scholar Award, the 2020 Edward Mallinckdrot, Jr Foundation Early Career Faculty Award, and the 2023 Broad Innovation Award. Since 2024, she has been a member of the Scientific Advisory Board for the Syngap Research Fund (SRF).
Dr. Quadrato received her BS and MS in pharmacogenomic biotechnology from the University of Milano-Bicocca (Italy) and her PhD in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology from the University Amedeo Avogadro (Italy).
